Pharmacy Standards for Oncology Practices: Mixing and Dispensing

Speaker: WillisTriplett, PharmD.

Willis Triplett is a pharmacist who has spent his entire career working in and around the compounding of sterile products.  He earned his Bachelors in Pharmacy from Ohio State in 1976, and after working two years at The Ohio State University Hospitals, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1980.   He was the corporate pharmacy strategist for HQAA, a Medicare-deeming accreditation body and is a member of the Standards Committee of the National Home Infusion Association.  Since the Fungal Meningitis outbreak of 2012, he has been involved with helping pharmacies improve their compliance with USP Chapter <797> and was appointed by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy to an expert committee that is steering the revision of sterile compounding regulations for the state.

Bring your physician colleagues and staff.  You may register on the CT Oncology Association website, www.ctoncology.com.

We will also be discussing plans for the Connecticut Oncology Association projects and meetings in 2019, and look forward to participation from practice physicians, administration and nurses.  All are encouraged to attend.  We also extend a warm welcome to any Residents or Fellows who wish to join us.
